The following is a link to an article in the USAToday and it just about made me puke.

I recently read some of the posts that have been put onto this BB concerning one's right to protest and the possible upcoming war. I am a veteran (Gulf War, Provide Comfort, Provide Promise, etc..) and I must agree a little with everyone. I think everyone should have the right to protest the decisions of our government and express their beliefs on alternative approaches. And at times I feel military actions are needed. I don't want to get into a debate over the current Iraq events cause I feel that alot of peoples beliefs have already been expressed and we don't need to re-hash.

What I think that needs to be addressed is the fact of people protesting in a way that is disrespectful to America as a whole. You may not agree with war, you may not agree with taxes, you may night agree with the current state of affairs in our country. But I'll be damn if you should protest in a way that is disrespectful to the very country that gives you those rights. To turn your back on your flag is to turn your back on your country. Walk along side Al, and protest the war, but also walk along his side carring the same flag that I think he would be carrying. That same belief/symbol that allows you to have that opportunity to protest.

Please note, "I AM NOT OPENLY SUPPORTING AL's OPINION". I am though openly supporting Al's right to express his beliefs in a respectful and constructive way.

Right now everyone that is protesting the war is a great American and everyone that is pro war is a great American. Not because of their beliefs but because of their passion for their beliefs in their country and their willingness to express their passion. This player does not have passion for their country, only disgust.
