Maybe we should do away with the cops, too, and just "peacefully" get crooks not to commit any more crimes.

Thomas Jefferson said, "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance." Such vigilance is maintained by our military.

Theodore Roosevelt said, "Speak softly, but carry a big stick." Guess who's carrying the "big stick".

Peace, to the extent we have it, has been purchased by our military at great cost. Peace, to the extent we can keep it, will be maintained by our service men and women at further great cost.

Anyone who thinks we can have peace in the world as we know it without the strength of our armed forces is a fool.
