Norm wwas proposing that the government round up dissidents and imprison them and torture them for protesting against government policy. It is certainly appropriate to point to the Constitution and criticize those who would not uphold the ideals and words of the COnsitution.

Al did not propose that the government imprison and torture Norm, he simply said that Norm should be ashamed of his unpatriotic position. It logically makes no sense to say that one can't criticize those who make statements such as Norm's.
