It pretty much boils down to each individuals choice. The older front strike books definately will have more "value" if they are in mint condition with all matches intact. Most newer ones will probably never have much value in our lifetime.
We collect for the fun not really for the value, thus we remove most of the matches so the covers will fit neatly flat in the album pages.
I would also worry about the fire hazard of storing too many full books in the summer in Nevada. So I would say whichever way YOU decide
to collect is the right way.
