Last year I was in Vegas way too early for the convention (April). This year I had to change my dates for work reasons, and so although I have managed to be in Vegas for convention week , I have to leave Thurdsay afternoon , as I gotta be back at work the following week and there are only direct flights from McCarren to London Thursday and Sunday (Sunday would arrive back here Monday lunchtime - too late).

So, I'm going to make my first convention (yippee!) but only have Wednesday and Thursday morning to meet everyone that I hope to meet! I guess it could be worse . Of course, I will be in Vegas from the 15th, so anyone that wants to trade before the convention just let me know - I'll be staying at the Paris for 4 nights and then Monte Carlo for a week.

In the meantime, if anyone wants any chips from the UK (especially those of you who have UK chips to trade) then let me know. I'd also appreciate knowing which dealers have English chips, as I don't think I'm going to have time to visit every table on Thursday morning.

And finally a convention-newbie question. Should I bring lots of traders, or just lots of cash? Most of my traders are English, and so don't fit in many people's collections, although I guess the Hard Rock chips have wider appeal. Do people bring other neat chips just to show, or just their traders? I know it's a long way off, but as I travel around the country visiting new casinos, I tend to pick up 3 or 4 traders where I can, but hsould I be looking to get more?

Maybe next year I'll get it right (when do they fix the dates?)
