The Great Sahara Plaque Registry has now surpassed recording the ownership of 11.5% (366) of the total known number of plaques made (4,200) and delivered to Del Webb's Sahara Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV, waaaaaay back in 1974.
Based on the number of emails I get (with additional numbers) there are quite a few "lurkers" out there and I would certainly love to hear from more of you.
Again, you may contribute to the Registry, yet remain unidentified if necessary. I have also started hooking up buyers with sellers and several plaques have exchanged hands this way.
The Registry is open to anyone and it makes no difference how many plaques you hold, one or a hundred (or more). All I ask is for the numbers, and your stories, if you have them! I have not heard from anyone that has actually used them in-play. Nor have pictures surfaced of the table layout. Were regular rack chips mixed-in at the table, or was it exclusive to plaques only?
We are currently at 21 $1,000 plaques recorded (just over 10% of those made). Your inputs are requested.
Thanks,
Jim Follis
