My idea of a peaceful demise would be to take slabbing stamp it into the ground, shoot it, poison it, hang it and if that doesn't work, we can get nasty.
If you sit in the hopes that it will just go away and die, you might be surprised if it jumps up again and bites you in the rump. THEN its too late.
