Gene, You will never agree with anything that I say and do. So, I'm not surprised by your response.
I didn't take credit for defeating slabbing. I gave credit to the Slabfree Chapter and others. I do feel that my policy was a solid and well thought out approach. Again, while I don't take the credit, I don't think that you can argue with the results.
I happen to also feel that if slabbed chips were allowed in the auction, they would have brought lower than expected prices and given the slabbers another sound financial reason to abandon the hobby. We saw the results of the Ebay auctions of slabbed chips.
If I caused the "biggest" uproar and chaos, you certainly had a hand in it. I know that I couldn't have done all that without your help .
I do take credit for working out a compromise on the slabbing issue. I had the right and the power to leave the results as they were after the initial vote. But I choose to work with my fellow Board members and work out a solution. The final unanimous decision was the result of give and take on the part of all of us. I gave on all the other matters except the tables at the convention. Now you can see the importance. And my stance has always been consistent throughout my campaign and term.
Gene, You can continue to denigrate but much has been accomplished during my term. I feel very good about handing over the reigns of a stronger and more vibrant club to the next administration.
