It reminds me of a story I heard about a well known local socialite in Saratoga.
It seems that she had hosted a small group for dinner at a local restaurant. She paid the bill in cash and the waitress went to go ring it out. The woman and her friends were walking out of the restaurant past the waitress and she told the waitress to keep the change. The change apparently was a small amount, and the waitress was upset at the small tip so she handed it to the woman (whom she recognized as being the wealthy socialite) and said "I'm sure you need this more than I do."
So the woman walked back to the table and picked up three hundred dollars she had left as a tip and said "Well then I must need this more than you do."
