ICG was already tooled up and slabbing chips a couple years ago. They had a table at the 2001 convention as did Collectors World (?) exploring the possibility of turning ours into a hobby that needed to be run through them to be legitimate, as they have done with other hobbies. We fought them and have won the battle. We'll continue to be vigilant, but since ICG spent the money for the initial tooling to slab chips and didn't come close to recouping those costs, anyone thinking of doing so again will think twice before doing so.
