From experience I say with certainty...this slabbing nonsense is an attempt to create millions of dollars in profits for the would be slabbing companies....they will turn the hobby of chip collecting into what they turned coin collecting, baseball card collecting and any other collectible into....money for the slabbers...think of it...if this catches on...the propaganda would be...."if your chip ain't slabbed, who really knows what it is worth"...they will make up grading systems, and in time there will be several grading companies competing for the dollars that should just remain in the chip buying and selling and trading hobby...i am a new chip collector and am excited to get started and hope to be involved for a time to come, but if this becomes a sham for "third party money grubbers " that have nothing to actually do with chip collecting i will go the same way i did with the other hobbies i was once involved in....be careful what you wish for you, you might get it...if this comes to pass and is widely accepted...you will have to spend a fortune and turn in every chip in your collection to some third party grader, and you will be told unless you do this your unslabbed chip is worthless
