I own slabbed comic books, coins, stamps and sports cards. I HATE them! When the majority of us were younger, there were no limited edition "collectibles". There were only comic books that we read, coins we inserted into Whitman folders, stamps we "hinged" and sportscards we "collected". We actually knew what each item felt like! Have you ever tried to read a slabbed comic book or felt a slabbed coin, stamp or sports card? I've owned numerous slabbed items in quantities and have often times felt a higher graded item was of lesser quality than a lower graded item. I've sure anyone that's collected slabbed items have felt the same. It's a shame that today's generation are taught to "collect" the same things we used to enjoy... don't touch it! don't read it! Quick, send it to a slabbing company to maintain the pristine, mint condition of it and the other 1,000,000 to ensure it retains it's/their value!
Hey, wait a minute... maybe it's our fault: "If we collect it, they (slabbers) will come!"
This is one issue where I DO NOT take a neutral stance... I've seen slabbing ruin/split a lot of hobbies... should not be another one!
