It is an issue. The number of people that submit nominations each year is anemic. Less than 5% of the membership of 2500+. If I remember correctly we only had about 125 people submit nominations last year. It has been a similar poor submission rate every year that I have been a member. We have had over 2000 members the whole time. I'm sure Jim or Archie can give specific numbers on nominations.
Every member has had the opportunity to participate. Most choose not to do so. Of course, that does not stop some of them from complaining. Anyone that can not fill out a form nominating least one chip, token, SS or slot card does not deserve to vote IMO. It is just laziness or total lack of interest if they do not submit a nomination.
