I just received this message from ebay canceling my auction. Has anyone else had this problem. I seem to remember a few years ago there was a problem, but ebay agreed to allow the use of the term "illegal" when selling chips. Here is the message.
"Dear Michael Richter (lisgar@earthlink.net),
We appreciate that you chose eBay to list the following item(s):
3208073350 204 ILLEGAL WAVE CREST MOLD CASINO CHIP
However, your listing(s) was in violation of eBay's policies. We would like to take this opportunity to let you know what part of your listing(s) is not permitted.
Your listing(s) contained the following information:
"ILLEGAL"
eBay does not allow the listing of items that have inadequate or inappropriate titles. Item titles must contain enough descriptive information to convey to buyers what the item actually is. The following titles are considered inappropriate for inclusion in the eBay forum:
1. Listing titles that fail to state what the nature of the item is.
2. Listing titles that contain web site addresses, email addresses, contact information, or phone numbers. The only exception to this rule is the sale of domain names.
3. Listing titles that contain profane or obscene language.
4. Listing titles that are sensationalistic, and/or use the following words in an attempt to market or advertise their item:
"Prohibited", "Banned", "Illegal", "Outlawed", or any other descriptive word which may bring into question the legality of an item by either governmental or eBay standards.
Your listing(s) featured a title inappropriate for an eBay auction listing. Because it is in violation of eBay's listing title guidelines, your listing(s) has been ended early. All associated fees have been credited to your account.
This notice is based solely upon review of the aforementioned listing(s). We encourage you to review all of your listings to ensure full compliance to our guidelines. If found to be in violation of one or more of our guidelines, your current listings will be subject to further disciplinary action, including the cancelation of your listings.
