If a strange person walks up to you for no reason and punches you in the nose and You call the police and have him charged, should he be acquitted because he says he didn't do it and the only evidence is that you said he did?
The Testimony of Eyewitnesses is strong evidence, you keep saying there was no evidence except "somebodys word". Are you suggesting that the word of an eyewitness is not evidence? What would we need . . . videotape?
