Hey Todd! What time did you go get your chips? I got there around 5 p.m., and the person I talked to at the cage window allowed me to buy right from the cage! I didn't get her name, but she told me to go around the front windows to the little hallway on the side, and the teller there sold me the chips STRAIGHT OUT OF THEIR STORAGE. Did you unknowingly antagonize somebody there? I had no trouble getting chips straight from the cage there or earlier last summer at Sam's Town & Fitz when their Lewis/Tyson chips were issued. I'm always VERY polite but persistent (but it didn't work when I tried to get 25-cent chips from Sam's; I still don't have ONE of those!). Maybe I've just been lucky, who knows. By the way, I was NOT able to find anyone who knew exactly HOW MANY of each chip was made! I'll go back tomorrow to the cage mgr. and ask him/her. Also, I checked out the boxed sets, and I'm not sure I'd pay $26.35 ($25 + tax) for them. The clerk said about 40 sets had been sold before I got there. The box was black w/a RiverKings logo on the top, but appeared to be made merely of stiff cardboard, and the chips were in round clear plastic covers, which fit nicely into cut-out holes in the cardboard. What I didn't like was that NO information page about the chips were included with the set; it didn't say how many of the chips were made, any player information, etc. For the price, it would've been nice for a descriptive insert to be included with the set! I didn't buy a boxed set because it simply didn't seem like it was worth over double the chip value!
