take action. If so, I would have filed a complaint. Instead, I was trying to be helpful to a participant on the BBS's that I thought was a Club member (this is addressed below), as well as any Club member(s) that may have considered trying to be the winning bidder.
Now, I don't know if you are trying to play Devil's Advocate with respect to your comment about roulette and tournament chips, but I can go a step further and point out that casinos in Nevada are all posted with signage that says all chips are the property of the issing casino. This statement is inclusive of house chips and all the LE's they have. (Please feel free to research the archives, as I have taken a picture of at least one of those signs and posted it to this BBS.)
In the meantime, I think we can keep this focused on the infringement issue brought forth by the NFL.
Regarding Norm Clem's membership status..... I have exchanged emails with Norm. He is under the impression that he is a current member of the Club and I have referred him to Membership Officer, Ralph Myers for ultimate determination. I am under the impression that Norm is not a member because of "Official" Membership Directories I have. In the Second Quarter 2001 Directory Norm is listed as a member. In the most current directory that I have (2003) Norm is not listed.
Although it is quite possible that Norm may have changed his Membership Directory listing status to "Do Not Print" (in which case his name would be dropped from my Directory), but I suspect that that is not the case. Instead, Norm's name may have been dropped from the Club's ranks as an administrative error on the part of Norm, Ralph, or an other, as of yet, unknown reason.
In any event, Norm will be taking that up with Ralph.
