others to weigh-in here, but according to TCR, there were two .25¢ chips issued. One spelled wrong and one spelled correctly. The correct spelling is valued less than the in-correct spelling.
Again, in "verg good" condition:
In-correct spelling: $40 - $49
Correct spelling: $15 - $19
C/W guide prices as:
In-correct spelling: $ 24 - 40 - 60
Correct spelling: $ 4 - 8 - 12
(C/W values at three different grades of condition.)
But to answer your question directly (Phyllis) No, your chip is not an error. Glen's chip, but it is a common error.
This is very similar to the Colorado Belle Blues and Brews $5 LE, on which all 2000 have "Laughlin" spelled in-correctly. It was not pulled, nor were another 2000 made. It just continues to be used.
