Once more into the S&H pit. My last round of chip sales really pointed out why I try to offer NO S&H on my chips. I had a bunch of chips to sell. I set a price that would meet my immediate goal and asked 50¢ postage on purchases of 3+ chips. Fourteen bubblepacks in the mail for $7.80. I'd scored a huge supply of #000 mailers for 1¢ ea. at a yard sale so that's not an expense for me. Outside of the chip sale price what did I get for $7.80? Here's the sap part... I got several hours of relaxation and a refreshing sense of well being. Putzzing with chips and flips, sorting and listing, adressing and taping, major hobby stuff, right? Enjoyable email back and forth with friends. Cruise to the Big P.O. downtown on the way to Saturday errands, pretty easy. Also got a subsequent trade outa the whole deal that netted the nifty chip you see here.

Same Saturday, I rented a couple of DVDs for $7.98. Enjoyed them but that money didn't generate as much goodness as all that nasty shipping and handling did. Guess I'll try to keep skipping extraneous fees. I'm coming out ahead so far. What a sap.
