Hi everyone, I wanted to post an Ebay shipping question with multiple auctions. Here's the scenario:
A seller has a number of auctions for individual chips. Each auction states the shipping costs as $1.00.
A buyer wins 5 auctions. The buyer contacts the seller (a CC>CC member) and asks what the shipping charge will be for all 5 chips together.
The seller replies to the buyer that the shipping will be $5.00, and that each of the auctions clearly stated the shipping is $1.00.
Ok, so the seller also states that in his other auctions and trades he subsidizes with shipping costs.
This seller is a regular here with posts as well as reading. He also trades with chipboard people. I'm looking for our public opinion so that he can see what other people think of this. I think once he sees that this puts people off and that these people will probably not bid on his future auctions with activity like this, he may very well change his ways of doing things.
On a side note, the final price was pretty cheap. So we're really not talking that much. But you all know me...its the principle of things that get me. I dont want to trash the guy...I just think he needs to see how other people look at this.
My first instinct was to just tell the guy: Ok, no problem. I'll pay the $5.00...BUT, I'd like each chip to be sent to a different person and address.
