... Rich, though he would certainly be in the next group of 10 or so. Dodger or no, he doesn't make the Top Ten for two reasons:
(1) His wild, unproductive early years (1955-1960 he went 36-40 with ERA's between 3.02 and 4.91) and (2) his early retirement (immediately after the best season of his career in 1966, when he went 27-9 with an ERA of 1.73).
Six great seasons, though (129-47 !!) with four no hitters (including one perfect game).
