Yup - Arizona doesn't want to part with fract's or $2's
Bucky's will sell $2's, so will Cliff Castle
Mazatzal didn't sell $2's, but last time I went I was able to get some.
Most of them have the fractionals in the vault - but YIKES! Try to get some!
Some have them at the cage... But not the general casino cage - every place I've been ONLY sells chips from the poker room - Casino Arizona, Gila River & Fort McDowell have cages ... Bucky's and Cliff Castle have a counter (for their poker chips) - and it is different from the general cage for the rest of casino transactions.
It DOES help to talk to someone who has been there recently. I didn't know Paradise had raised their limits (or whatever they did) and only used $1's for certain games.
I'm NOT trying to deter anyone from visiting AZ (in fact - come to Prescott! Would love to see ya!) but a spontaneous, "unplanned" trip (if your motivation is to get chips) could be a waste of time, gas and your weekend if you arrive at 9 am and have to be home by dinner.
