Re: How to play a closing casino

Thanks Steve! I figured I would ask since I have only lived in Vegas since early October. Since that time I don't think anything has closed.

I guess I was looking at say the Horseshoe. Let's say right now a dollar chip from there has a real value of $1 and a collectors value of $3. So a $5 chip has a real value of $5 and perhaps a collectors value of $8. Let's say that a $25 chip from the Horseshoe is worth $30? IMO most of that is real value and very little is collectors value. So if the Horseshoe were to close and for some reason you could not cash them in, IMO I would guess the value of a $25 Horseshoe chip would only be $10 or so?

I guess I should look at the vacation village chip. (those were cool looking chips IMO) What are the values of the $1, $5 and $25 chips? Is there a good website to look such information up? I'm sure some people will know at the chip club meeting tomorrow, but I'm not sure I am going to go.

Viva Las Vegas,

Byron
