I have a situation right now...where i had won 9 auctions on Ebay for obsolete casino chips that were incased in lucite. I know many of you have seen these when they were being auctioned in mid December. Anyway, I won 9 of them which I was going to give as gifts for the Holidays to some of my friends. The seller was going to ship them by priority mail. As of now, they still haven't arrived. The seller claims she sent them. She also told me that I didnt purchase insurance so theres nothing she can do.
It appears she didnt even pay for a simple delivery confirmation. At least this is what she is claiming. The total for this was over $100 dollars. Who is to say she even send the items. So is this a situation where if you dont buy insurance, any seller can simply say "I shipped it, too bad." Is it the case that if you dont buy insurance, then you're just plain out of luck? In that case, theres plenty of shady sellers that will just simply not send the item and claim to bad, you didnt have insurance.
Here's an interesting thing with my situation. During the auction, I asked this woman (Tina Risinger -aka greenpony65)if she had more of these. She informed me that her husband had bought these in a antique mall and thats all she had. Now when i asked her for a refund since I never recieved the items, she claims she was selling the items for a friend, and would have to ask her if she's willing to give me a refund. This is contrary to what she told me before when she said her husband bought them. I have never had an item that was sent priority not be delivered. Never. I personally feel the woman never sent them.
How do you all feel about this one?
