I agreed with you 100% until I lost a mediation with Safe Harbor and a Seller because I didn't request the item be insured. eBay placed all liabilty on me, the buyer, to ensure the item was insured.

That's why my post stated that I used to think the Seller was responsible to ensure the item was insured.

I have and will always take responsibilty for any item I ship... but I'm unclear where I stand legally due to my past experiences if I, as a buyer, don't receive an item if I, as a buyer, don't ensure it's insured.
