I feel it is the shippers responsibility to get the item to the recipient in good condition.

On the other hand, there may be instances where because of a low price paid or some other reason, I don't want to be responsible for the item. In that case, it would be explained BEFORE the purchase is made that I am not taking responsibility and that the recipient must pay for insurance if they want the item guaranteed.
