Scott, I agree that its not a variation in the card, but rather just the way they are doing the printing on them. Same card, different print position. And the change from printing date to and expriation date.

My point of contention is that slot card collectors are interested in these sorts of things. If a card is produced and handed out in a certain way, then changed, it interests them. Just as many collectors collect Harrahs cards that have different players numbers. Players numbers that are indicative of where it was issued. The card is essentially the same, but its the printing thats different.

I believe that with the print format in the original style being very limited (only those people that signed up or recieved replacement cards on those first days)collectors will find these much harder to find and get. There are only so many out like that, which makes in inherently more valuable.

With that said, for me, I collect only cards with my own name on it. I definately think the limited number of cards out in that format makes it worthy of saving both the first and second format style in my collection. They've already been placed in my slot card book right next to each other. Would anybody other then a card collector notice the difference at first? I doubt it. But I sure do.
