Hi Rich,
Years ago - well not that many; Jerry Wall told me BB used a much better foil for the orders from casinos versus the chips he made as "fakes".
Jerry had ALL the dies, ALL the records, and a tremendous amount of info he kept in his head. Jerry knew what chips were fake and/or how to tell them. He and I would stand outside the showroom at Arizona Charlies smoking our cigs while I picked his brain. At one time everything Jerry had was offered to "our" club (except for his head of course ) at a reasonable price. The board told him or his agent through me "we" were not interested. Archie did not believe club money should be used for such purchases. If my memory serves me correrctly it was one of Archie's and my second or third go 'rounds. We had so many
I can't keep them straight.
Today I have no clue where any of this "stuff" is. I think Spinetti bought most if not all of it, but I could be wrong. I think Bill A. might still have some - but who knows!!!
I thought the club should buy ANY and ALL dies that came on the market for sale. It was my concern at the time; today, in my opinion, the damage has already been done. After all who needs dies to manufacture chips? We got Whalen!!!!!
Best, Mr"P"
