I believe there are real chips in Nevada mold for the Flamingo Capri. I read where Gene does not & posts his information which I will not comment on as I am not going to get in a big debate here.
I also list a "FC" chip that was used there as well. I dont know why Bud Jones records don't show this. Perhaps all records were not seen or the person looking this chip up did not see it. This happens. Chip manufacturers make many chips. Records can be lost or buried too.
There are different hot stamps on fake Borland chips. They look more brassy. (like the Barney chip.) I wish someone would post a fake that has a different hot stamp look than other regular gold stamped chips. I dont have a fake with me.
I have had my Flamingo Capri beige $1 Nevada mold for many years. I found 6 of them a few years ago that were slightly used. I never thought they were fakes & still don't.
