IMO both of these chips were made by the same company.
My problem is I've never seen either N0962 or N9342.
Borland never made an exact copy of any chip, as far as I know. Medal aligned chips was a Borland trademark but that does not mean that a medal aligned chip can't show up in any run of hot stamps. I think the law of average says there has to be some.
Jim's chip is medal aligned and Gabe's is coin aligned.
I wonder if they both have N0962 and if anyone has a scan of N9342.

Another thing: Borland did hotstamp and sell some legitimate chips. Not many but some. I have one. I know it is a ligitimate chip. Allan won't believe me!!!! Its still listed as a fake!!
