Re: VERY important message for all NCR

Half true, and not a bad idea. If you have a fake address in your book, you will be notified as soon as the undeliverable message bounces. But that won't stop the worm, which doesn't care or check if the mail is working, it just sends, and sends and sends.

I have seen this before and have friends who suggest it. Just make the first address, just as in your message, and if you get a virus, or have one and don't know it, you will find out very fast.

Since some worms/viruses use cache, friends lists, and many other files from an infected computer, one could have NO address book and still be able to send it out.

Since there are sites, updated daily, which will scan your computer for free, online, none of us should have a reason for not checking, now and then. Better though is one of the inexpensive virus protection programs.

Come on, I'm cheap and every computer I own, has Norton on it, or gets scanned one a week. It's the least someone can do to protect themself and their friends. (plus adding the AAAAAAA, name as Paul has observed)
