According to The Chip Rack, there are only two $1 chips... the beige hotstamped one in this auction (which the authors list as an imitation) and the green inlaid one.

It is interesting to see the results of the past four auctions of the beige hotstamped chip on eBay:

2/12/2001 sold for $76.01
1/17/2002 sold for $55.02
9/24/2002 sold for $79.88
1/29/2003 sold for $80.00

Consistent results... and it appears that many people feel that this chip is NOT an imitation, or that a real version of the chip does exist.
