It depends on where you want to stay. The strip, my favorite, Imperial Palace rooms for $40 a day or less.The Imperial Palace is in the middle of the strip right across from Ceasars Palace, Treasuer Island and Mirage. Any Station casino, Palace Station, Boulder Station, there are five I think, if you want a place to stay all day. They provide every kind of entertainment. Downtown, a lot of people I know love the California. Sam's Town is a self contained casino on boulder highway, very nice. If you have older children, Circus Circus is great and about $40 a day. Cheap prices are Sunday thru Thursday.
