The issue quantity of the 25K is indeed 200. The other Golf Course denominations are still out there in the tens of thousands each. There can only be 200 sets, including the $25,000. This is the only chip in the set that was less than 5000 issued. Soon after the Dunes closed, two gentlemen (I can't remember their names, but they are not chip collectors nor dealers) were trying to unload over 250,000 chips in all. I have a copy of their list somewhere. I will try to locate it. It listed the number made of the 25K and the number of each chip that they obtained from the former owner. C.T. Rodgers was one of the first to get a few sets. I bought my set from C.T. in 1994. TCR has kept the values at the currect market for two reasons:
1. There is a demand for Dunes chips and at the time the market was not saturated. We knew that the chips had not been destroyed and may be released at any time. That is why they weren't rated at a much higher value.
2. We knew that we would have to reduce the value in TCR at the time that the floodgates were removed. It could happen any day. We have been waiting for 9 years. Tomorrow may be the day.
