When I was a kid, Dear Ole Dad was in the "awl bidness" in Dallas. When the wells came in, he would go to the wellsite for a few days to see if it was a gusher or a dry one. The boys needed something to occupy their time while the geologists logged the well, so many a hand of high stakes poker was played. Yes Andy, Dad was a much better poker player than I am!
Anyway, he had these chips made. Obverse is his name (mine, too!) Reverse is his company's logo. I took all kinds of advanced drafting and design classes in high school since I had intended on becoming an architect. (That idea was blown away when I got to college and became, uh, distracted.) Anyway, I designed the logo for the company of the oil well coming out of the star in Dallas. Hadn't thought about it until now, but I guess I've designed a chip! Thanks for bringing it to my attention Jill!!
