I forgot to mention this after my return from Aruba. But for those that havent heard already...The Sonesta Hotel is no more! The Sonesta Hotel Has been taken over by The Renassance Hotel. The Crystal Casino still uses the same name. The Renassance Hotel now owns both the Crystal Casino and the Seapot Casino which is across the street and one block down at the marina. I asked in the casino if they were planning on reissuing new chips since the old ones said "Sonesta" on them. Nobody knew. A few people there said they assumed they would, but werent sure. I was told that the Silver Strikes (which were near impossible to win) were already ordered. I asked agt the cage if they would sell me a Silver Strike. The woman thought that was about the funiest thing she had ever heard. She said Oh, no, we would never sell those. You have to win them! I waited around at the SS machine for about 20 minutes while an older Italian woman from one of the cruise ships poured easily 60 dollars into the machine. She got up very frustrated and left. I figured why not and tried it. The waitress came over just as I hit and won a nice $10.00 Strike. She seemed surprised and congradulated me. I ordered a drink and asked her about if the machine hit very often. She told me no, it usually took alot more to win one. The Silver Strike says "Sonesta Hotel" and Crystal Casino on it. I'll have to scan it and show everyone. I guess sometimes luck is on my side. Speaking of Luck....how about the Vegas trip I just won!
