A check is what we call a chip and a chip is what we call NCV? (From the glossary):
CHECK
A casino chip that has a redeemable cash value and is used to place wagers at casino table games. Not used in slot machines.
CHIP
A casino chip that has no cash value such as a roulette chip. Can also be used to place wagers on a casino table game. Not used in slot machines.
JETON
Pronounced zhe ton. A lightweight plastic gambling chip used in Europe, Asia and South American casinos. Usually moved about the table with the use of a tool called a "ratau" (rake).
NCV
No Cash Value
NEWBIE
Slang for new club member or new to the hobby. (Me)!
PLAQUE
Rectanglar, square-shaped or oval cheque primarily used in European casinos.
