I agree with Jim and the lion's share of other posters here... post a scan of the actual chip or post a disclaimer that the scan is not the actual chip.
I can't imagine someone NOT being disappointed when bidding on an attractive, clean chip and receiving a dirty, gummy chip instead - ESPECIALLY when there's no disclaimer that the chip picutured is not the actual chip.
As a new member, I don't know how the club code of ethics gets amended, but I think it would be appropriate to amend it with a new rule - if representing a chip by a scan and the scan is not of the actual chip, the scan MUST be accompanied by a notice the the scan is not of the actual chip.
As a final note - I also agree that the Seller should cheerfully refund the full price of the chips.
