Thanks for the heads up Ross!

Looks like I'll be asking for a demonstration using a chip before buying one. I have a full-size HP scanner that I don't like and quit using after a couple weeks. If the small scanner works as good as my larger one, it'd still be suitable for scanning stuff while on the road, but not for permanent image files that I want to keep. The first scan below was made using the HP, the second using my ten-year-old Canon scanner. Sometimes older is better.
