Does anyone else have this combination of ISP/Virus Protection? I just "upgraded" to MSN 8 yesterday and have had nothing but issues since. Over 2 hours on the phone with MSN support yesterday. Did anyone realize that their are 3 tiers of support techs and that if you get pushed up to a level 3 tech, you have hit the pain in the a%& jackpot? I went to tier 3 during one call and then to tier 2 during another one. The only conflict that they ACKNOWLEDGE is NSW/MSN Messenger5. These are not compatible.
At one time or another email would not work, messenger would not work, auto protect was mysteriously disabled, could not open virus scan (but could open clean sweep and the other Norton utilities)
Virus Defs are up to date and no virus found via full system scan with local Norton, no virus found via system scan from Norton web site. No Klez during another Klez specific scan......but still having problems and the latest error message says that I need to reinstall Norton System Works. I think I will go to bed instead.
If anyone has first hand knowledge of of these issues, I would appreciate any advice.
