Hi Ron; just to let you know, there's only nine casinos now in Tunica County; Isle of Capri closed late last year. The BBQ advice was good; Corky's buffet at Sam's Town Casino is cheap ($8.95/person, but w/any decent play and you should get comped, no sweat), w/GREAT wet and dry ribs, and wonderful "pulled" pork. The Rendezvous in Memphis makes the best dry ribs I've ever eaten. They're right; there's very little to do in the casino area besides gamble (and/or drink), although on weekends there are usually some nice concerts going on at either the Grand, the 'Shoe, Gold Strike, or Sam's. If you have a few days to spend there I strongly suggest you take the drive up to Memphis. Beale Street has a lot of fun clubs; some of them include a Hard Rock Cafe and a new Pat O'Briens. Graceland is always an option (thank ya, thank ya very much), and world-famous Sun Studios is on Union. Memphis has got a great zoo if you're into animals. Depending on when you come, the NBA team Memphis Grizzlies might be in action; I know their record sucks but they're young and actually have a winning record since their 0-13 start! Tickets can be purchased the day of game for as little as $5; $9 tickets abound. Some cool shopping can be found downtown at Peabody Place or in east Memphis near the Wolfchase area. Oh by the way, if you are single and into "Gentlemen's Clubs" then Platinum Plus is a "must see" on your list. There's a lot of other things I'm probably leaving out, but it's very late and my mind is drawing blanks. Hope any of this helps!
Regards, Jack
