Re: Any good antique stores in Reno?

Jeff:

I did part of the Reno antique shop scene in October. There is a large place called the Main Street Mall (or something like that) that is on the east side of Virginia St. within walking distance south of the river. They have lots of chips, a couple of stalls in the back and, at least when I was there, the front desk had two or three boxes full that they had on consignment from somebody. These folks are pretty knowledgeable but everything is negotiable. They have a copy of the TCR. Be sure and ask to see the original Mapes neon sign, they have all five letters or at least they did in October!!

There is a smaller place, I think it's called the Antique Mall in the 1200 So. Virginia block, not too far north of the Peppermill, on the west side of the street. There are also several Mom & Pops on the east side across the street that had a few when I was there.

Happy hunting!!

Don
