Interesting. He didn't mention the 25c Stockmen's Peach that were pulled off the tables. (still a curent chip but we won't see them in play again, according to a cage person)

Old time dealer and cage at Commercial, said they had old chips in the vault. (but of course NO I couldn't get one) lol

I always wonder about the mixed stories we get. Does it depend on the person, what version of their reality we get. grin

Remember when Stockmen's changed owners, the old metal center H&Cs came out of the vault, in like new condition. I guess they just "discovered" them...

Yes, I had a couple of long conversations with Ed when I was in town. He is well known at the Gold Country and gets pretty much anything that gets turned back in to the cage. Best wishes, because this means that they get to collectors instead of going to the dump. I think he also had a bunch of the 50c Purple BJ from Gold Country, but that was a few years ago.

I still want to find some "old timer" that has an old Pioneer chip laying around his junk drawer. I'm going saloon hopping and I'll see what I can find. Results so far at local small bars, is a blank stare.

Maybe someone can find the Florida investors who were the last owners of the Pioneer. They remodeled, opened for a few months and closed, forever. Or maybe someone who worked there? The chips have to be somewhere, and my vote is (total guess) someones home play set of poker chips.
