Marty and Neal have provided the chipping community a valuable service that can never be repaid or truly appreciated. Their Chequers site made many former "dinosaurs" (like me) into internet believers. I was never on Prodigy ... but I heard a lot about it. It wasn't until Bob Mera painted a huge CHEQUERS.COM sign on the front of his small "Gaming Emporium" store on the Atlantic City Boardwalk that I first became aware of Chequers.

Chequers has introduced lots of new folks into the hobby .... just like thechipboard.com is doing today. During it's heyday, it was THE PLACE to go for very interesting articles submitted by the hobby's most talented chippers at that time.

I'll miss Chequers as I used it frequently as my link to other bulletin boards such as Silver Strikers, Slot Cards and the Atlantic City Chapter message board. Guess I'll have to program my "favorites" with the direct address for future connections to these other sites.

Thanks again Mary and Neal .... it was a heck of a ride while it lasted.
