Howdy & Kregg Herz, in their fine book, "A Collector's Guide To Nevada Gaming Checks & Chips", 1995, P. 111. They show the HUB $5 Brown and $25 Black. The $5 was also sold in Howdy's Auction #5. I bought my $5 from Bill Borland in 1986 for $18. I feel sure that you would not doubt Borland's attribution on anything.
Fuller lists the dates of the Reno Country Club, on Plumas St., as 6-26-35 to 5-20-36. It was licensed for slots and 21. Campiglia & Wells also list both chips in their fine book. Hanover's Rose $25 has the same inlay but has a PLAIN mold and is blank on one side (no recessed area for an inlay.) I am guessing that Rich's chip is a sample to test the inlay. I have never seen a Black $25 with a HUB mold, but believe that Howdy has one from Harvey Gross' (Harvey's) collection. I believe that they were made by the Burt Co., but as you know, their records before 1953 were destroyed by a fire. Bummer!
