I think you will see more and more slots converted to use the TITO technology(Ticket In/Ticket Out) due to the money/labor it saves the casinos, however some casinos use a mixed technology with tokens or coins for small payouts and tickets for large amounts. The latest figure I have seen is about 60,000 slots with TITO or about 10% of total machines, I expect that to continue to grow quite a bit. From the collecting stand point it now may be the time to collect tokens as the number issued especially new ones will go down as the need for them is reduced by the TITO machines. Get them now as many will soon be obs. On the other hand you can now start collecting the TITO tickets, as I said in my exhibit at the 2002 convention, they are "A new casino collectable".Good luck with you collecting.
