You must not run your own business or know anything about customer service.
When you have been around long enough to have had a life, perhaps you will have learned not to make assumptions regarding subjects about which you have no knowledge.
Your complaint should be with the casino not Rene. If, in fact, he is an employee of the casino, asking him to come up with the shortage makes as much sense as asking the cage supervisor to take it out of their own pocket. Would they be guilty of an ethics violation if they said "No"?
Finally, aren't you at least as much to blame as the casino? Aren't you the one who failed to count your chips at the cage? If you counted them there and got it wrong, why shoud they think you have it right now?
