I just got in from checking the chips that I drilled a few years ago & had attached with a piece of wire to the undersides of my vanda orchid baskets. They were sprayed with sundry pesticides & various kinds of soap along with fertilizers of varying strentghs. They were left out in the broiling sun & drenching downpours of Florida. All of the chips turned different shades of green & black, 1 lost its' inlay, but none cracked. The marks I made on the chips are gone, none are faded & I can still read the lettering on most of the chips. The Dunes, Brighton & Playboy can be read without the aid of glasses. They don't make chips like that anymore! I got a new batch of orchids on Thursday & I'm having a bit of trouble deciding which chips to drill this time. Any suggestions?
