Actually Pam, I have never took measurments of the CJ H&C compared to the other H&C but I seem to always spot a CJ H&C without tilting it to see the shine. It seems they are a hair narrower and is noticable to me.
Something you might not know about your Flamingo card in the dice box. HN Garrison started Reno Game Supply in 1953. His claim to fame was precision dice. He also had the arowdie mold made and was the distributor of arrowdies. He moved his store to Wyoming ave in LV in 1956 and renamed it Precision Inc. He had what was considered the best dice in town. I have seen records of dice & chip sales to the Flamingo that has Garrisons and Cristy Jones name on them pre 1953. Garrison was a partner in CJ pre 1953. I believe he was the dice maker for CJ until he started Reno Game Supply. CJ became a big company in LV and finally put Precission INC/Garrison out of business in 1958.
The address on Wyoming is now 3 seperate business's. I have visted it and had the current owners search every nook and cranny for anything left in all nook and crannies. NADA! I found the leasing agent that rented the property to Garrison in 1956. He remembers cleaning out the property in 58 after Garrison went out of business. Everything went to the dump. I have called every Garrison in NV and CA looking for heirs. No luck. I really thought I was on the right trail to find the arodie records when I started.
Sometimes you get a hit and sometimes you don't. BUT, you always pick up a little history along the way and somewhere along the line it fits with what you learned earlier. The Garrison/CJ connection came a year after I did the arodie research.
