CJ - long cane
H&C - short cane (not to be confused with H&C LCV)

CJ - concave "neat inserts"
H&C - convex and/or sloppy inserts

CJ - hat's that shine (I have heard folks say the hats can "signal aircraft" , but mine are usually grundgy dirty little chips so that's not always a good test for me. Once you see one that shines, you'll know the difference
H&C - dull hats (compared to CJ's)

Maybe Joe Shaw will post the inserts difference in scans... can't tell you how helpful that was in helping me (when the chip HAS inserts)

This is a CJ - you can see the long canes... and in "real life", the hats DO shine
